Pelvic Trauma

About the podcast

In this edition of ThePTN’s podcast, Lt Col Scott Adams talks us through pelvic injuries. He discusses how mechanism of injury helps us understand damage patterns and the function of the pelvic binder. We gain insight into the risks and benefits of binders, when to remove it and importantly when to keep it on!

Through the entire podcast Lt Col Adams reminds us to appreciate the differentiation between the (haemodynamically) unstable patient and the unstable pelvis, giving us clear management options for each case.

Don’t forget to have a listen to the podcast on open fractures with Juliana Hughes and Clare Taylor and our Haemorrhage podcast with Ash Lowther and Tim Nutbeam.
